The Role of A Healer PDF Print E-mail

What is my job as a healer?  What should the healers in your life offer to you?  I have pondered this question many times before I enter the room with my patient.

I consider my job as a healer is to love you and love you and love you some more until you finally get it.

My job is to remind you of the nearness and availability of Divine Support until you finally directly experience it for yourself.

My job as a healer is not to come up with the answers for you...but to point to the source from which all answers come.

I simply serve as a reminder that when a person calls out to The Divine, The Divine responds.

The key is , though, that I can't remind you of this connection unless I have some degree of certainty myself.

So I have had to do my own walking and I continue to walk, so that my heart can carry the truth.  I cannot ask you to go somewhere I have not been willing to go to myself.

Each time I have discovered God's support in the midst of my own painful situations, I have become more certain of finding that support in every moment of my life.  So that now when I am  trying to help you, I can listen to what is paining you without having to make it better or judging it as wrong.  I strive to be able to stand with you in the places you need to acknowledge and feel, share in your experience, maintaining certainty of God's support, and becoming a bridge between you and God.

As a healer, the stronger my certainty of God's support becomes, the more I can help you to trust that you are safe in God's care.

The more faith in God that I have, the more that I can help you.  My job is to allow my heart to truly witness the hands of God around you during a healing.

Though someimes I believe my job is overwhelming, the truth is that my job is easy.  I don't have to fix you because you are already sufficed.  I acknowledge your pain while pointing you in the direction of God....knowing God will suffice you in every moment.

It is so beautiful to see what emerges when I support someone to come back into having harmoney with God.  People get what they need from God and I have learned that if I think I know what that should be, my ideas will only get in the way.

My job is not to help you respond as I would--but to help you realize your own new creation.

The more I desire to become a great spiritual healer, the more I realize it is not a process of becoming great.  It is a process of realizing the greatness of God.

And so  I continue to do my own walking.  The journey is not always easy for me, but I don't have to do it alone.  I thank my family, my dear friends and my patients for their constant support.  When I look at each of you, I see only the Divine Qualities that you each carry---your beauty and your love.  I thank you for being such wonderful mirrors for me.

Sincerely,

Dr Patti Felici

Be With What Is PDF Print E-mail

Inherit in every human being is a part that wants to be with God and a part that doesn’t.

As God’s Light sweeps thru us, all kinds of dark stuff can come up that needs to be looked at.

We don’t go around digging for the darkness- but if we are behaving in a counter productive way, we have to look into to it to see why.

Everybody has a shadow side.  It means you are human—and this place, Earth, is a testing ground to see what you choose (light or darkness)

As you choose the good and purify your ego and get aligned with God, then this can become a Heaven on Earth.

Getting to know our saboteur can be a key.  God so loves it when we get to know ourselves.  We don’t even have to fully clear it- just work with it- and its influence diminishes.  We don’t focus on it but we don’t deny it when it comes up.

Everytime you feel bad about yourself, it stops you from dealing with those more important issues.

God does not use guilt as a motivator.  It is the Darkness that uses guilt to get you stuck.  Instead of saying “I am bad”, say “I am not bad.  I am good and I need to work on my arrogance” for example.

Sabateurs at the core are usually low self-esteem, unworthiness, and feeling bad about ourselves.  The Sabateur is at work when its all about you!  The truth is that it is really all about being in service to others.

Every inch that we conquer the darkness with the Light is a victory for God- we are helping all of humanity because we are really all one soul.

When I am feeling good and still want to pray, I am probably in a clean place.  If I am feeling good and don’t think I need to pray, I am probably not in a good place.  There is great danger in this station—thinking I am enough on my own.

Our goal is to be happy with whatever God sends us—to know that we are not better than anyone else.  The truth is always humble, not boastful.

There is a holy fear----to be fearful of the awe of God.  For example: “I know who God is and I want to be in His good graces”

There is an unholy fear---For example:  “What will God send next?  I’m not gona make it through it."

I tend to find myself in one of two places.  I am either feeling good and moving forward…..or I am feeling yucky and being in collapse.

Prayer and meditation  is a great remedy for collapse.  I often meditate on the Divine Quality of the strength of God when I feel I am in collapse.

What is Abundance???  I define it as living by God’s Will.

It can be having a lot or a little…. But if we are in connection with God, we are okay.

Work on having your inside mirror your outside.

Be rich with God---expecting good things to happen.

We are so much more powerful than we know.

Ask yourself these questions?

How can my life be of service to mankind?

Be open to receiving.  Babies are good at receiving.  As adults we have learned its not safe to open our being.

Meditate and bring The Light of God into the parts of yourself that are afraid to receive.

Fly when you feel good.

Pray and meditate when you feel bad.

Don’t settle for being unhappy.  Work on it every second till it washes.

Practices that help me to keep integrating what I have learned with my work and my life:

Checking in daily with my emotions and presenting them to God in my prayers

Meditating on The Name of God

Checking my Hope meter regularly---hopefulness usually means I am in alignment with The Divine Light.  Hopelessness most always means I have lost my alignment and I need to take some time to pray, to meditate, to be with nature and realign.

Love and Light,

Healing Sessions PDF Print E-mail

Many of us struggle with physical illness, emotional distress or relationship difficulties.  Sometimes life seems fine on the outside, but deep inside we hunger for something more.  That feeling of emptiness can lead to depression, anxiety, illness, addictions and a host of other problems which may seem overwhelming.

Yet the answer is closer than we know.  Within our own hearts we can find a wellspring of love, joy and beauty.  When we connect to that wellspring, illness and depression begin to subside and life feels rich and full of vitality.

But with so many messages in our culture telling us to look outside for happiness, it can be difficult to look within.  It can be hard to feel our inner strength when a history of old pain covers our heart.

We need help from someone who can guide is toward our inner health.  By uncovering and clearing the cause of distress, our own inner light can shine through.

Dr Patti Felici, Doctor of Alternative Medicine and Clinical Nutrition, R.N. and Master Spiritual Healer offers a safe and nurturing space along with practical skills to help you uncover the peace, happiness and health that live deep in your heart.  The healing work she offers uses guided imagery, sacred sound, and meditation to help you heal old wounds, dispel negative beliefs and open your heart to the gifts waiting for you inside your own being.

Turning to God for Help With Money PDF Print E-mail

A wise Sufi Master Healer named Rahim Bronner taught me the most valuable things that I know about money.

Do you know if you are happiest as an entrepreneur or are you happiest working for someone?  One is not better than the other but you need to know what is true for you.

Find your passion and a loving Universe will reward you!

Take solace in the fact that the average millionaire goes through bankruptcy a couple times in their life.

Pray for what you need...talk from your heart.  God responds to a sincere heart.  We call out.  God responds.

Although I will admit that when money is tight, it is harder to soar with God.

A good prayer to say is "God, I know you know my case.  I am really in a tight spot.  I need you."  Be honest and straight with God.

God's light will bring us through...even when we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

There are a certain class of angels that respond to our prayers.

There is a loving force guiding this creation....available to us and supporting us.

Money is just a neutral form of trading.  We attach way too much emotion to it.

The best way to be open to abundance is to find our calling and then figure out how to transition into it.

And we need to finanically awake and conscious.  How much interest are you paying on credit cards?  On Your mortgage?  Where does your money go each month?  Are you aware of how much you spend eating out each month?  etc etc

Getting out of debt and getting our finances in line is one of the most empowering things we can do.

Figure out some tangible goals and then work toward them.  For example, how much income do you need to have per week?  How much do you need to cut back on your overhead?

If we want something to change out there, the change has to come inside of us.  Example:  a different belief about ourselves, the world, or God.  Are we aware of the sabateur inside of us??

God has made your spirit really big.  Are you playing it really small?

Having a lot of money just makes you more us what you already are.  That may be bad or good!  If we are kind and charitable, money will probably make us even more of that.  If we are mean-spirited, money may make us more of that!

God is our real boss, no matter what our job.  Our money comes from God.  If our money is not working for us...we don't have enough...forget the idea that God is punishing us!  God is good.

There is always a way for us to have what we need.  There is always a way for God to provide.  We need to try to surrender our self will to Divine will.  What is
God's will for each of us?  If we could figure that out and move toward it, God's wind can blow with us instead of against us!

Everyone ends up bowed down to God sooner or later.....not because we are bad.......but because our right relationship with God is to be bowed before God's feet.  It seems the whole Universe is set up to bring us in right relationship with God.  Sometimes it really squeezes us!

It seems the sooner we put ourselves back at God's feet, the easier it gets.  On the outer, it may look like havoc--but its not permanent.

Sometimes we have to give up the old to allow God to bring in the new.   We have to make room for God to build the new structures.

Things often constrict while we are learning God's teachings, but then there is an upswing that often lasts.

Turning to God for financial help can sound like heresy.  We often bring God into certain parts of our life but not other areas.

We need to remember that we don't have to figure it all out by ourselves.  We have a loving creator that is on our side.

There is a Sufi saying that goes like this.  "Even if you are not seeing God, know that He is seeing you."  My prayer in response is this.  "God, tap me on the shoulder and show me where I am straying away."

The key is to stay bowed as much as possible.  Keep your head below your heart!

What is a tangible thing that you could do every day that could help you build your relationship with God?  How about thinking about all the things you have to be grateful for?

If we want God's help in hard times, we should probably thank God in times of ease.

It helps when I remind myself that God wants to give me even more than I want to give myself....or maybe not what I want but definitely what I need....more happiness, more joy, more laughter, more ease.

My desire is to navigate around The Light---not around the ego that is just trying to survive!  When we turn on The Light inside of us, things can really change.  Nurture The Light--and figure out how to share it with others!

If we want to trust God at a deeper level, our prayer life is important.  Our prayers are a way to bring us closer to God.  Prayer puts us in touch with what is already inside of us!  For me, it is more effective to get up and pray in the morning.  At bedtime, I am too tired and fall asleep.  I find that an hour of prayer is like two hours of sleep!

What if every time God brought me money, it brought me closer to Him?  What if I didn't shop or eat out or spend any money without checking in with God for guidance?  What if the dollar bill could become a tool to help me be closer to God?  What if money wants to support our dreams when our dreams are aligned with God?  Maybe if God is first in our heart we can have everything or anything we want....romance, money etc

Check your hope meter regularly.  When you feel hopeful, you are most likely connected with God.  When you feel hopeless, you have most likely gotten disconnected or gone astray.  God never uses guilt as a motivator.  Often we feel bad, guilty or unworthy, so we push away the gifts God sends us.  We need to work on feeling good and worthy of what God sends us.

Try to be in a "yes" to the abundance God wants to send you.  The way you spend your time is so important.  Are you building your business or are you in collapse, afraid to move forward?  Put a note on your mirror that asks "Am I in collapse?"  Once you realize you are, then pray to come out of it.  Be in certainty of a generous Lord.  Believe in the abundance and generosity of God.  God's abundance often comes through the giving.  When things are constricted financially, give to someone less fortunate than you.  Then be open to receiving from God.  Learn to rely on God and take from God--but almost always it requires action on our part.  Take some action.  Make a choice.  ALmost any choice is better than being stuck.

What really is abundance?  I define it by living by God's will.....having a lot or a little...but if I am in connection with God, I am okay.   I expect good things to happen.

We are so much more powerful than we know.  How can your life be in service to God?  How can you marry your passion with service?  When we live for the benefit
of others, God tends to multiply that.

Healing Mandalas PDF Print E-mail

Healing Mandalas

"Discover Healing With a Personal Touch"

Symbolic artwork that brings balance, peace and a sense of tranquility to your workplace or home.

Mandalas are symbolic pictures used for healing and meditation.  They are highly decorative, symmetrical diagrams, often used as a focal point in meditation.  Mandalas can take you on a voyage of self-discovery, from finding the core of peace within yourself to tapping the well-being that comes from expressing love.  They can take the meditator on a wordless journey into the heart's deepest mysteries.

Mandalas are probably as old as humankind.  They appear in some of the earliest marks made by humans, and they are present again in some of the first scribbles of young children.  They express through symbolism something innate in ourselves.  Like all true symbols, they arise from deep levels of the unconscious, and serve as keys which can take us into the mysterious recesses of our own minds and hearts.

Any healing effect you may experience using these mandalas depends on your consciousness becoming one with the core vibration of the mandala and passing into the "Divine Light" ,  "Divine Source",  "Divine Love"  from where all healing comes.  I use these words interchangeably. This is not to say that the mandala does the healing, but that it may provide a porthole to "The Divine"   that heals.  I believe that the reception of Divine Light is the beginning of holistic healing.

Our healing is likely experienced to take place in layers over a period of time, though its source - Divine Loving Light- is without limits of time or space.
Each of the mandalas has a unique pattern of vibration.  Each mandala has a given quality, yet holds balance and harmony.  The harmonization of qualities makes possible a release of our tensions when we meditate on their colors nad forms.  In other words, the mandalas are vibrational mediators between our vibrational tensions and Divine Source.

Why meditate?  It is a path of self-discovery.  We live mostly in our conscious minds and are unaware of the depths of our unconscious and of the subtle spiritual dimension of our own being.  By training the thoughts of the conscious mind, meditation opens us to the deeper mysteries of our inner selves.  By increasing our ability to concentrate, meditation can aid memory and make us more alert to the world around us.  It has potential physical benefits as well.  It helps to relax the body and combat the effects of stress.  Some people meditate to lower blood pressure, to relieve pain, or  to promote restful sleep.  Meditating can help to lift the spirits, and  by relaxing the mind and body may even improve our physical appearance.

How do you meditate?  Simply sit in front of the mandala, resting your eyes softly on the symbol, breathing normally. Place your gaze softly and attentively upon the image.  When your thoughts begin to stray, bring them gently but firmly back to the point of focus.   Thoughts will ineveitably arise, especially when you have had a busy or fretful day, but when they do, simply refrain from attending to them.  Do not allow them to control your nmind.   Enjoy your inner journey, bringing about balance and alignment on a physical, emotional and spiritual level so healing and transformation can take place.

About my art:      The beach is where I always feel closest to God.
My mandalas are filled with treasures, symbols and images of the ocean itself.....marine life, shells, seahorses, starfish, pearls, coral, etc.
I seem to experience a sacred connection when I look at the mandalas through the inner mirror of my soul.  I see each image as a link to the Divine Mind and hear God's voice in the silent language of color.  Whether it is a few moments of clarity or a realization of oneness, I interpret the unfolding mandalas as messages of love and beauty: feeling more than seeing, the radiance within.

My mandalas are  like a little world unto itself where I can find peace and calm, experience oneness, reflect on beauty repeating itself over and over again.   Already, these images have brought so much healing to my own heart and to my family and friends, that it is hard for me to explain in words.  These images or magic circles have been a wonderful source of joy in my ceaselessly changing world.

Through the use of  digital photography, I have created so many uniquely beautiful images already.  My digital artwork is available,  printed on  canvas and ready to be displayed in your home or work area for your healing and enjoyment.  You can choose from an assortment of one-of-a-kind beautiful mandalas.

Sacred Professional PDF Print E-mail

I challenge each of you to consider joining me
in my quest  to be a "S a c r e d    P r o f e s s i o n a l " !

What does this mean?

To me, it means to keep our hearts open to God's voice. It means to get our selves out of the way so God can speak to us in a fashion that we can hear....and guide us to use our God-given gifts to bring healing to others and to ouselves.

It means seeing God in all things, in all situations.  It means knowing God is in our heart and hearing His voice in all things If it is your desire to join me in this decision to dedicate your work to God, then let's make a decision together today that our work will include prayer....silent prayer for each of our patients.....prayer that our work can bring people to the way of healing and love.

Let's make this part of our sacred daily practice.  And let's do it for God...for our love of God...for our appreciation of what God had given us.......and as an expression of love for our fellow sisters and brothers on their own journey.

When our patients talk to us, let's try to listen to their deeper heart.

Let us ask God this as a healer.
It means we must recognize "the sacred" in each of our patients.  We must step into our ownership of our personal power as healers that seek God's guidance.

It is important that we give from a full cup....because if the cup gets empty, we will give from effort.....and end up with an empty tank.  We must know that is not all up to us and therefore be surrendered.  If we want to be healing and loving, it is important that we be engaged in spiritual practices of some kind that keep our hearts nourished.  We have all heard about "burn out" but I wonder if it should instead be called "drying up", letting our cup get empty.

We must remember that every heart we serve is holy..........and that our hearts are holy as well....that everything we do is from God....for God...and through God.

As "Sacred Professionals", we must strive to hold everyone we come into contact with as Divine.  Afterall, what we are doing is calling forth this sacredness from the people we work with.

We must resist our natural human tendency to categorize people according to the outside situation they present to us.  We must see our clients as holy...calling forth the sacredness buried in each of their hearts.  Every interaction with them should be seen as sacred.

We should see everyone who comes to see us as God's guest............someone God has sent to us so that we can give them caring and love and support.

If we surrender completely to God, we can become the mouth thru which God speaks, the eyes thru which God sees and the ears thru which God hears.  Everything we do can become sacred and healing.
day to make us be able to hear more deeply and to see more clearly.   And let us ask God  how we can  make our work more of an expression of our love for Him.

Blessings to you, to your clients/patients, to those you love, and to your work.

Dr. Patricia Felici

Avana Healing - The Avana Method PDF Print E-mail

Avana Method Healing

* We already have everything we need to achieve Divine peace and happiness.
* Our Divine Will combined with our free will and choice enables us to choose every moment with every breath to bring balance into our life.
* We can either experience this Divine peace and joy or become disconnected from this source.

Dr Patricia Felici is a certified Avana Method Level III Practitioner, offering both personal
in-house consultations and phone consultations.

What is the Avana Method?

The Avana MethodTM can assist you to:

* Reconnect to your source
* Awaken your higher self
* Raise your vibrational frequency to an elevated natural state of divine peace
* Nourish your soul with hope, joy, & purpose

The Avana Method was developed by Joyce A. Salvo, AMM, CMHH, CRM, CHE,
owner of The Ground Up in Hamburg, New York.

The Avana Method is an original program of integrative techniques and music focusing on the balance of free flowing, unobstructive energy that promotes wellness on a physical, spiritual, mental and emotional level.

The Avana Method

* Avana means the joyful unity with one's Source
* A method of meditation, sound therapy & music to advance healing & relaxation
* The music balances the brain, nervous system & unblocks energy
* The vibrational frequencies assist in the release of stored emotions and maintaining a positive vibrational rate
* Guided meditation is used for regaining spiritual, emotional, and physical balance
* The music creates a relaxed environment, inside and out, to allow the continued release of stored emotions.

In the music, you will experience different instrumental effects:

Bass - reaches to the deepest areas of stored emotional memory of pain

Piano - raises our vibrational frequency  to a state of divine love and peace

Angels Choir - surrounds us to guide and encourage the release of emotions by bringing forth the spiritual memory and vibration of our Divine connection with our source

Children's laughter - touches the memory of the purity, trust and fearlessness of our inner child

Harp - recreates and establishes Divine Balance at all levels

Chimes - the ushering in of the angels

Shakers - shakes up stored feelings and assists in breaking them up

Dolphins, Birds, Ocean Waves - reminds us of God's presence and the beauty of perfection on earth

As these emotions are unlocked and brought up to a conscious level of awareness, the music facilitates a release and a change in the frequency within. This allows for less congestion of energy, similar to other modalities that help to release blockages in the energetic body, such as massage, Reiki, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, chiropractic, reflexology and therapeutic touch.

There have been many reported responses to the music and meditations. It is suggested that you find a quiet place to listen to the music. Try closing your eyes through out. Many people have seen a kaleidoscope affect of colors, feelings of peace and love so powerful that they have been moved to tears and unique sensations of energy running through them. Each individual is different and each time you listen may bring an entirely new experience.

Drink an abundance of purified, spring or mineral water while listening and experiencing this music. Water assists in the cleansing of the body of toxins. It is a conductor of energy and will help to hold the new frequencies you create. Before drinking the water hold it in both hands and with prayer, intend that the water hold the vibrations of love, joy, happiness and peace.

It is the intent to honor and respect each individual's right to worship in whatever way they choose, believing that religious choice is for the purpose of developing the highest personal, individual relationship with our Divine Creator.

The reference to "Mother God" is meant to broaden our understanding of God, not only as Father, but also as Mother to all in all ways. As we open to these possibilities, we may also open to the awareness of the masculine/feminine aspects that we all hold in each of us that brings us to the balance of wholeness.

Spiritual Healing:

Healing Through God's Love.
Walking With God On The Sufi Path.

"Spiritual Healing does not take the place of other healing modalities.  Instead, it becomes the basis on which all other treatments rest."

In training to be a Doctor of Alternative Medicine, we were taught to treat the patient with a mind-body-spirit approach.  I had no problem accepting that there is almost always both an emotional link and a spiritual one that is involved when a person is chronically or seriously sick.  Yet,  my training did not give me the tools that I needed to approach the issues of emotions and spirituality.  My own spiritual tradition is that of The Roman Catholic Church, yet I honor the spiritual essence of all religions, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism or Islam and long to understand them and discover the deep beauty within each.

What led me to the Sufi Path?

I was attending a health expo in Los Angeles over three years ago...and  I heard a Sufi Medical Doctor speak about the need for spiritual healing in our patients.  He said that every sick person had a place in their heart that was closed off to love at some time in their life due to hurt, disapointment, betrayal, etc.  He said it was a doctor's job to help the patient open that place to love again.....and then physical healing could occur in leaps and bounds.  I knew in my heart that he spoke the truth.  I was at the next seminar given by this man, Dr. Ibrahim Jaffe.  I actually knew very little about The Sufi Path yet followed my heart by enrolling in his school,  The University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism.   I signed up for a 3 year commitment and completed those studies in July of 2009.  I was joined by other students , all of whom were either healers from one modality or another or seeking to become a healer.  All of us seemed to be seeking a deeper connection with God and a desire to be instruments of His healing for our patients.

At Healing School, I had the opportunity to take the Sufi Promise and receive a Sufi name.  Our guide from Jerusalem, Sidi Al Jamal,  gave me the name "Rahma".  The name means "Foundation of Mercy".  Sidi told me I  was given that name because it comes so natural to me to be merciful to others.....yet also because I need to work on being more merciful toward myself.  Kind of ironic, right?  In order to become a healer, I must open my own heart to healing...Just like they say when you are on a plane, "Put the oxygen mask on yourself before you reach out to help others".

According to James Keeley, a faculty member at the university,  there seems to be a fundamental difference between the people who heal and those who stay stuck in chronic patterns.  It seems that those who have healed had or developed a relationship to Spirit.  For some, this is a relationship with God.  For others, it is with love or Universe.  Regardless of what they call it, each of these people had faith.
This resource enabled them to face their challenges as experiences they had to go through in order to grow as individuals, not as problems they had to eliminate.  They realilzed there was meaning behind what was happening to them and reached out to the support and guidance of the Divine to discover it.  Their faith allowed them to be fully present and acknowledge their painful experience until they were given what they needed to leave their pain behind.

So many modalities of healing are available to us today.  Everything from allopathic medical care to homeopathy, bodywork, nutrition, psychotherapy, and many others are employed to change states of disease and unhappiness to ones of health and balance.  While great attention is placed on remedying the symptoms, the patient's experience or what it means for them to be going through these times of pain is often overlooked.

Spiritual healing takes the radical stance of saying that our experience and what we believe an illness or challenging situation means for us is just as important as what is happening and the causes of these struggles.

The foundational principal of spiritual healing is that, while difficult things do happen to us, none of these things cuts us off from the support of the Divine.   Spiritual healing focuses on connecting us to the love and suppport of the Divine in painful situations.  When this support touches the places of our pain, our experiences are guided into those of balance.  Healing then happens.  This healing is passed on to our emotions and thoughts in the form of peace.  This peace is displayed in our bodies and lives as health and balance.

Spiritual healing is more than positive thinking or looking on the bright side of things.  It is genuinely experiencing the love, guidance, and support of God in a situation that previously felt terrible because of what we believed it meant for us.

We can spend so much time avoiding what hurts, we never discover this inner resource of Divine support and instead continue to look outside for answers.  It is easy to overlook our experiences and not realize that, at the foundation of our beings, we believe we are cut off from what we need and must respond in an unfulfilling way.  Our focus is often on changing the circumstances that are upsetting us, but spiritual healing shows us that we must first come into harmony with what is happening and act from a sense of balance before our actions will lead to real, lasting healing.

Many times, the negative things we believe a situation means can make us more miserable than what is actually happening. Anotherwards, the the sickness that is from us, comes from the negative meanings we assign to difficult events.  The cure within us is our connection to the Divine that can guide us into harmony, regardless of what is happening in our lives.

Focusing on what is happening and how we got there rather than on our experience and what we believe a situation means for us is called living on the outside............as opposed to being inside with an awareness of our internal response.  We must let go of wishing things were different and face the fact that this is what we are being given right now.  Whatever is happening is meant to happen, even if we think we are the cause of our own suffering and should know better.  We must momentarily release our ideas of right and wrong as well as fair and unfair.  This allows us to be in a relationship with the events of our lives.

We discover that we have what we need in every moment when we stop arguing with the flow of events, become conscious of our experience, and support that experience by turning inside to receive Divine care.  When we consciously connect to Divine support, we are able to embrace the process of life through all of its ups and downs and flow with the changes because we experience a sense of peace and well-being that is available, regardless of what happens to us.

Could it be that all of us only have one core issue?.....and that is whether or not we are experienceing the love and support of the Divine at our core.  When we are experiencing this support, we feel at peace, think positive thoughts, speak positive words, and take positive actions that all lead in the direction of healing.  We are then able to base our well-being on the availability of God's support instead of on things and events.  Experiencing this stream of love allows us to be fully alive and present for all that life brings.

While most  healing has to do with trying to figure out how not to hurt, spiritual healing is based on the belief that, when we hurt, God guides and supports us into becoming individuals who have the resources to walk through that pain and leave it behind.  Difficult events often reveal the painful beliefs and decisions we have previously made in our lives that are contributing to our problems today.   As we walk with God through these situations, we release the things that don't serve us or really matter and discover new and more fulfilling ways of living.

Modern research has told us that one of the most important factors in people recovering from life-threatening illnesses and traumatic situations is their ability to reinvent themselves.  Yet, we often want to hurry up and get better or get over this arguement so we can get back into the lives that made us sick or led us to the unhappiness in the first place.

Life is not about things and events going any one way.  Life is about experiencing the fullness that is available to us, regardless of what happens.  When we turn from the outside to the inside, we accept that growth is a natural part of our existence and that the events of our lives are the catalysts for that growth.  We start to realize that difficult things don't happen to us because something went wrong.  Rather, it is because we are not finished growing yet!  The next concept to grasp that may be a little more difficult is that we don't really know what we are growing into and so we don't know what experiences are needed to catalyze that transformation.  Once we can accept these two ideas, we can stop resisting the things that hurt and begin traveling on a path that not only leads to healing, but also nurtures and enlightens us.

I work with spiritual development, physical illness, emotional  pain, relationship issues, sexual  trauma, career challenges, substance abuse and chronic pain.  My teachers have taught me that God's love is right there for us and that we just need to open and let that love in.  I have seen that healing does not have to take years as many traditional therapies believe.

Who are the Sufis?

The Sufi practitioner aspires to live a clean, moderate and balanced life, following spiritual laws and divine guidance, in order to bring healing and goodness to all people.

Most often referred to as the “spiritual path of the heart", the Sufi deeply aspires to achieve intimacy and proximity with the “Beloved” who is the Creator and unity with the Creation.

Through a well-defined and insightful path of healing and spiritual transformation, the traveler on the Sufi way gradually releases self-limiting identities and increasingly carries the divine qualities of compassion, peace and love for all people without separation.
