| The Role of A Healer |

What is my job as a healer? What should the healers in your life offer to you? I have pondered this question many times before I enter the room with my patient. I consider my job as a healer is to love you and love you and love you some more until you finally get it. My job is to remind you of the nearness and availability of Divine Support until you finally directly experience it for yourself. My job as a healer is not to come up with the answers for you...but to point to the source from which all answers come. I simply serve as a reminder that when a person calls out to The Divine, The Divine responds. The key is , though, that I can't remind you of this connection unless I have some degree of certainty myself. So I have had to do my own walking and I continue to walk, so that my heart can carry the truth. I cannot ask you to go somewhere I have not been willing to go to myself. Each time I have discovered God's support in the midst of my own painful situations, I have become more certain of finding that support in every moment of my life. So that now when I am trying to help you, I can listen to what is paining you without having to make it better or judging it as wrong. I strive to be able to stand with you in the places you need to acknowledge and feel, share in your experience, maintaining certainty of God's support, and becoming a bridge between you and God. As a healer, the stronger my certainty of God's support becomes, the more I can help you to trust that you are safe in God's care. The more faith in God that I have, the more that I can help you. My job is to allow my heart to truly witness the hands of God around you during a healing. Though someimes I believe my job is overwhelming, the truth is that my job is easy. I don't have to fix you because you are already sufficed. I acknowledge your pain while pointing you in the direction of God....knowing God will suffice you in every moment. It is so beautiful to see what emerges when I support someone to come back into having harmoney with God. People get what they need from God and I have learned that if I think I know what that should be, my ideas will only get in the way. My job is not to help you respond as I would--but to help you realize your own new creation. The more I desire to become a great spiritual healer, the more I realize it is not a process of becoming great. It is a process of realizing the greatness of God. And so I continue to do my own walking. The journey is not always easy for me, but I don't have to do it alone. I thank my family, my dear friends and my patients for their constant support. When I look at each of you, I see only the Divine Qualities that you each carry---your beauty and your love. I thank you for being such wonderful mirrors for me. Sincerely, Dr Patti Felici Alternative Medicine/Clinical Nutrition
